The Newman Catholic Students’ Society awards the Cardinal Carter Award to individuals who have contributed significant time and effort to the Newman community, but who do not get the recognition that members of the executive committee do. The award is named after the late Cardinal G. Emmett Carter, former Archbishop of Toronto.
